Friends of Jewish Heritage in Poland seeks to engage descendants and other supporters in working to protect and commemorate the surviving cemeteries and sites of Jewish cultural heritage in Poland. We need your help in joining us in the work effort or providing the financial support to make the work possible!
To get a sense of our activities, please watch a powerfulfilm created by participants in last year’s summer trip to Poland: Neshama 2023. This trip was led by FJHP, The Matzevah Foundation, and sponsor JewishGen. The video explains why we and our partners do the work we do.
FJHP is actively engaged in the marked locations below. For a more detailed interactive map, click here.
A major beneficiary of our work is the Poland-based "Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland", also known as FODŻ, the single-biggest owner of Jewish cemeteries and synagogues in Poland, and, perhaps the world. We also provide added support to many other small non-profit associations across Poland.
FJHP was founded and registered in the United States of America as an independent, non-profit organization in 2016. We are an IRS-approved 501 (c) (3) public charity qualified to receive tax deductible gifts under US law and we continue to be "Candid GOLD Seal of Transparency"-certified!
